    Description

WWII Rare 1940s Generator Auxiliary Power Unit (believed to be for the B29 Bomber). Motor still turns over. Features parts from Detroit Lubricator Co., Wico Electric Co. and Veeder-Root Inc.
Generators were installed on B-29s during World War II and were used to provide power for starting the main engine and again during descent. The B-29s were designed by Boeing and first appeared in 1942. The last B-29 left service in 1960.
Generator has some dust from storage. Very heavy!
