    Description

Listed is what I believe to be a Vintage Hand Painted WWII US ARMY AIR FORCE/US ARMY AIR CORPS Emblem/Patch on a Military Garment Bag. I don’t know what war this was used in or what war the soldier served in. There is an original United Airlines baggage tag still attached which states amongst other things, “Rev. 1-70”. Vietnam?? On the front of the garment bag is a beautiful hand painted emblem/patch of the US ARMY AIR FORCE/AIR CORPS. There is also faint black stenciling of “Chas. Howard” (some of it is covered by the emblem/patch) and “New York”. There is a tear through part of the wing, star and circle. The zipper below the artwork works well and inside is a sticker that states, “1st. Lt. C. R. Howard Catskill New York”. The carry handle on top is missing and replaced by rope. There is a small tear in the leather on the left and “Howard” appears on the leather on the right. On the reverse of the bag it has, “Captain Chas. R. Howard 0-568700”. The other two zippers are rusted shut. There are a few rust and stains but overall this is in good shape. There is also a metal tag below where the handle goes that states, “Atlantic Products Corp. N. J. THE GENUINE Service-Pak”. This was an estate sale find and unfortunately I don’t have any other information. Please see all photos for further condition details. Sold as is.
