  • Condition: The deck has been refurbished with new belts and chassis cleaned,demagnetized heads, capstan mechanics lubed and thoroughly tested for about a week. I also did a speed check to match the correct speed of playback. This deck has some nice features such as soft touch controls, Auto reverse record and playback, Search, Dolby NR, relay Play, analog tape counter, and 2X speed copy. Get the best of both worlds on this deck. One deck has a fixed head while the other has auto reverse. This helps to eliminate azimuth problems in some auto revers only decks since the tape is always on path with a stationary head.There are some mild light scratches on the top cover from normal use.

    Do not buy delicate unserviced electronics anywhere else
    There is a trend going on with new sellers with vintage audio/video equipment for sale. Most are not serviced or inspected properly or just simply copy and lie what other sellers do just to make the sale. They may also sell items below value for this same reason. Please check my feedback for your confidence in this purchase. Avoid purchasing from possible lazy inexperienced sellers who are just listing item as they found them from the trash, thrift shop, flea market, yard sale, basement, attic, etc simply because they work as they found it with no servicing done such as cleaning controls, speed adjustments, long term testing, and other necessary servicing and inspection.Yes they may work shortly when it arrives but If they did not put it in the important details and it probably wasn't serviced which is prone to failure such as 90% of them do after a short use. This could possibly damage and destroy your precious tapes at any point if a mechanical failure happens. The average life of rubber parts in tape decks (belts/idlers) is 15 years and then they weaken and turn to goo. Most decks sold are older than that. This is a costly fix and would waste your time when you could have it now and not have to worry.
    Dust and shelf life may deteriorate and deform parts over a short period of time just sitting.
    That's why all of my items  are fully re-checked right before shipping from awakening after a long shelf life waiting for a sale. Most do not do any of this nor do they know how.
    I have been constantly servicing home audio and video equipment for 30 years at 48 years old.
