    Description

    The Patch:
This Auction is for 1 WWII Vintage Ports of Embarkation patch with a white back.
This patch has been used and there is wear to the border in the lower left portion of the patch.  It has a very nice white backing.  This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic.
The History: The Ports of Embarkation were established and operated by the Transportation Corps to ensure a smooth flow of supplies through port facilities.  The port of embarkation was a military command with jurisdiction over shipping, staging, storing, and other facilities which were often with the geographic limits of a city.  By the end of WWII the Transportation corps was operating ports in Boston, New York, Hampton Roads, Charleston, New Orleans, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.  Over 7 million passengers and 126 million tons of cargo passed through the ports during the war.
Please read my auction requirements. I have changed them based upon feedback and ratings received.
I am accepting eBay's Managed payments for my auctions and fixed price items.  Currently, they are not accepting payments through Paypal.  I will take payments through Paypal.  Please send me a message if you prefer to pay via Paypal, and I will send an invoice the email address listed with Ebay.  It is no trouble to do and I am happy to work with buyers so they can use the payment method they prefer.
Some of these patches have been used. If an item is listed as used it may be sewn on, have some dirt on it or have loose threads. I try not to post items with excessive wear because I want you to get good quality items. I try to post good photos of each item but they get shrunk down when they appear in the listing. If you have any questions about condition, please ask me. I can email you the original photo and can make larger scans if you give me enough time. Please ask. I will be happy to give you as much information as I can about an item so that you can make an informed decision about the item before bidding. Thank you for looking at my auction and I hope you will bid.
The Shipping: Shipping will be {{detail_product_description}}.80 for buyers in the United States. I will combine shipping if you wait for my invoice. I Ship World Wide. Shipping will be .80 for all orders that are less than .00 in total value. All orders that total more than .00 must be sent via Registered Mail. This costs .00 and includes tracking and insurance.
PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE TO PAY FOR YOUR AUCTIONS. I will combine all of your items won onto one invoice and will combine shipping for your items. This saves you money.
Please ask if you want to have auctions from two different weeks combined. I will usually allow this to happen if you see something you want to bid on that is ending the following week, but I won't combine more than two weeks of auctions because I have had problems with non payment in the past.
I do try to check daily to see who has paid to try to get things out quickly, but will always try to make a mailing on Saturdays and Tuesdays
Payment must be received within 10 days of the end of the auction.
Please feel free to ask any questions and thank you for bidding on my auctions.
