    .  George Brosko was a very well known local artist in the Carney-Nadeau area.  He was very well known for his chainsaw carvings and totem poles.  He made this wood axe and donated to the local fire department for an award for the "Winner of the Nadeau TWP. Fire Dept Poker Run Raffle.   The head of the ax is made from birds eye maple and overall it measures 27 1/2" long.   There is a small chip at the tip of the pick side of the axe (see picture).  P
