Comments: * Vollmer 1; not with Gutenberg. - One of 50 numbered and signed copies. From 1929 to 1932 Busch studied at the Berlin Academy for Free and Applied Art, after which he worked as a press illustrator. In 1954 he moved to Hamburg and became a teacher at the textile and fashion school (later the technical college for design). He is known as the illustrator of over 300 books. He worked a lot for Rowohlt Verlag. His bookplate work is less well known, although he created around 100 sheets. The handwriting of his teacher Hans Meid is unmistakable. - Good copy.
