Comments: * Thieme-Becker 32; Vollmer 4. - The artist "who, after his training at the Vienna Academy and since then with Professors Alois Delug in painting and with the old master William Unger in the art of etching, did not follow the streams of Art Nouveau and cultivated an inwardly directed, as it were Biedermeier motif language" Scheffer 2004, p. 24) moved to Munich in 1909. In the letter to the bookplate collector Dr. Rudolf Freiherr von Hoscheck is interested in bookplates. - Small remnants of assembly on the back. Enclosed is a hand-signed bookplate by the artist.
