    Description

This auction is for an F. E. Meyers Cast Iron Fire Fighting Pump with a hand operated Transfer Force Feed. This pump came off of a 1928 fire engine in upstate NY.  I believe the pump was used to transport water from a pond, stream, etc. to a tanker truck or other water holding device. The pumping action is rather stiff, and probably needs some lubrication.  (I have been told that when the seals become wet again, the lever action will become easier).  It is signed FE Meyers & Bro., Ashland Ohio. It has an older restoration paint, and is mounted on a board.
Length is about 24" and about width 14".  Weight is about 75#, so prefer to do a local pickup only.  (We are located in the same city where Pierce Fire Trucks are made.  So if you have a crew coming to Appleton to visit Pierce, it would be a great opportunity to pickup this item.  We can deliver this to the Pierce facility).
This will look great in an old fire station collection.  A great fire fighting collectible.
