    Closed 3. Mint records show only 25 proofs minted in 1873, but a small number of business strikes were also minted - an estimated 100 coins. This is a very attractive example with flashy yellow-gold luster off semi proof-like surfaces. There is just a touch of 'rub' and only minimal marks with none being significant enough to detract from the excellent eye appeal of this great rarity! This is a date that is seldom available at auction or out of a dealers inventory!
